Oct. 19, 2010 – The Canadian Window and Door Manufacturer's Association (CWDMA) has announced that there are a limited number of high profile sponsorship opportunities still available for Win-Door 2010.

Sponsorship forms are available for download by clicking here . Please send your completed form to the CWDMA office via email to info@cwdma.ca by November 5, 2010 to secure your company’s Win-Door sponsorship.

Win-Door North America 2010 takes place November 16 – 18, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ont.

Tuesday, November 16 – CWDMA Fall Meeting

Please note The CWDMA Fall Meeting will take place on the Win-Door’s opening day! Join your fellow CWDMA members in the Education Pavilion at 3:30 p.m. for Committee updates and information on the latest CWDMA activities.

4:00 p.m. – Show opens

Wednesday, November 17

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Jeff Baker: Codes and Standards Update
Jeff Baker, CWDMA Technical Consultant, will present an informative update on Codes and Standards from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Highlighting NAFS testing requirements for doors and upcoming changes in the building code and NAFS that window manufacturers will need to meet to achieve compliance with the new building code.

10:00 a.m. – Show opens

Returning speaker Bob Langdon will be featured from 11:00 a.m. to Noon in the first of his two seminars: Strategic Planning for Your Business. In this program, Bob Langdon, CPA and author of Managing Your Business for Profit will show you how to differentiate your products and services in the marketplace, thus enabling you to achieve a higher gross margin.
You'll learn how to design and implement a strategic plan for your business and return to your office with a new competitive advantage. Join Bob for his proven methods to:

Steve Hopwood from Natural Resources Canada will cover what's new in the October 2010 ENERGY STAR specifications, present tips on how to label for ENERGY STAR, discuss some of the do's and don'ts on submitting model information and take a look into the future to outline possible changes.

2:00 – 2:45 p.m. – Miles Murphy: F.I.T. Program Update
Miles will review the development of the first Canadian program to certify installers of windows, doors and skylights. This national initiative, known as the F.I.T. Personal Certification Program, has been developed to support the need for quality installations that meet industry standards and best practices, while promoting energy efficiency and consumer confidence Join Miles for a progress report to date that will include timely information on the scope of the program, subject matter being developed for certification, knowledge and practice domains and more.
