Consistent with “truth to materials” trends in the architectural industry, Kawneer’s first new finish in the series, highlights the natural beauty of aluminum and is designed to make a striking impression. With a chrome-like brightness and a light brushed texture, the Light Satin finish combines a look similar to stainless steel with the flatness and sharp corner aesthetics of extruded aluminum. Aluminum products offer a clear advantage over stainless steel or aluminum/stainless steel-clad products because they are lighter, easier to maintain and more affordable.
Featuring a consistent uni-directional, longitudinal pattern and a smudge-proof surface that resists fingerprints, Light Satin receives a Class 1 rating and a finish performance that meets or exceeds AAMA 611 for anodized architectural aluminum. The finish is currently available in 350 Heavy Wall Entrances, Trifab VG 451T framing and 1600 Wall System1 curtainwall pressure plate covers.
