Edgetech I.G. has introduced enhancements to its Super Spacer nXt. The spacer is engineered with a unique hybrid desiccated elastomeric foam technology, proprietary core and pre-applied side adhesive that can reduce IG production time and energy usage by up to 40 per cent.

The company says Super Spacer nXt is its next generation spacer offering many unique characteristics to help customers differentiate themselves with high-quality, lasting products. The spacer provides a full environmental package with comparable durability and energy efficiency numbers as well as reduced production time and recyclability.

Super Spacer nXt is recyclable because the materials used can be melted down and reused at Edgetech’s plant, helping the company decrease its scrap rates and environmental impact.

The company adds that many of its customers have found Super Spacer nXt works well with triple lite systems, which are gaining popularity among manufacturers looking to stay ahead of energy efficiency regulations. It is also easy to work with and provides tighter tolerances for use in triple lite units.

The spacer provides a substantially reduced threat of perimeter condensation, excellent thermal performance and enhanced sound dampening properties. It also provides a virtually seamless seal that enhances aesthetics, and is available in a variety of colours with a metallic appearance that enhances the look compared to an ordinary metal spacer.
