Saint-Gobain announces relocation of Vetrotech North America

March 3, 2023  By Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain, through its specialist fire-rated glass subsidiary Vetrotech Saint-Gobain North America, today announced the upcoming relocation of Vetrotech North America’s Headquarters in Auburn, Washington to a new facility in Faribault, Minnesota. The relocation will allow Vetrotech to invest in new manufacturing technology, continuing the company’s commitment to its growth in North America.

By locating in Faribault, Vetrotech North America will be able to leverage synergies with other local Saint-Gobain businesses, notably Sage Electrochromics, the makers of SageGlass. By investing in new technology, the company will be able to introduce its CONTRAFLAM-ONE fire-rated glass technology to market in the United States, a true eco-innovation customer solution combining both performance and sustainability. This move comes as Saint-Gobain continues to implement its global Grow and Impact strategy, which includes expanding its presence in key, fast-growing markets and fostering growth through customer-centric innovation.

“Vetrotech North America’s relocation to Faribault, Minnesota will provide us the tools and synergies we need as we continue our commitment to growing our presence in North America and serving our customers,” said Kevin Norcross, General Manager of Vetrotech Saint-Gobain North America in Washington. “We thank the Auburn community for their years of hospitality to our business and look forward to engaging with new neighbors in Faribault and building successful partnerships.”

The completion of relocation activities for both glass processing and framing system manufacturing is targeted for the end of this year.
