MDL Doors embarks on next phase of growth
Mervin Lichty, with his wife and partner Tillie Lichty by his side, has announced that his role with MDL Doors will be changing from the day-to-day operations of the company to a new role as the chief strategic officer and chairman of MDL Doors.

Dec. 1, 2010 – Mervin Lichty, with his wife and partner Tillie Lichty by his side, has announced that his role with MDL Doors would be changing from the day to day operations of the company to a new role as the chief strategic officer and chairman of MDL Doors.

The Brussels, Ont. facility of MDL Doors. The company was established in 1984.

Established in 1984, MDL Doors is now one of the largest pre-hanging facilities in Canada, supplying retail lumber yards and window and door specialists throughout Ontario.

Addressing the entire staff and management of MDL Doors during a meeting held at the company’s facility in Brussels, Ont., Lichty advised that over the next six months he will transition the day to day responsibilities of running the company from himself, as the current president/general manager, to the management team. Mervin will continue to be instrumental in key strategic roles.

The key priorities of the company are continued growth and providing quality doors and service to their loyal customers. Lichty stated, “For the company to continue to grow and succeed we need to make changes, and this change will create an opportunity for MDL Doors to move to the next level. The management team in place is perfectly positioned to move the company forward and facilitate the changes that will help create a sustainable company for its current and future customers in addition to the community, employees and their families.”
