Jan. 20, 2010 – Ply Gem has announced that its Canadian window and door manufacturing and distribution division, CWD Windows and Doors, will now be known as Ply Gem in Canada. The renaming comes as part of the ongoing One Ply Gem initiative to leverage its resources across all divisions within the company and make it easier for customers to work with Ply Gem for multiple building product needs.

“This move from ‘CWD’ to ‘Ply Gem’ creates a one-company organization that will give us the opportunity to expand our business in Canada,” said Bryan Sveinson, president, Ply Gem Canada. “It will also facilitate cooperative activities with other Ply Gem business units in the U.S. and allow us to benefit from the products and technology of all the different groups of Ply Gem. All of this is ultimately going to benefit our customers by giving them more options and a greater support system.”
