FenBC workshop on NAFS and the BCBC

Sept. 5, 2013 – Fenestration BC will host a half-day workshop for door pre-hangers Sept. 10 from 11:30 to 4:00 at the Sheraton
Guildford, 15269 – 104th Avenue, Surrey, B.C., discussing upcoming
changes to the BC Building Code. The grace period
for the application of NAFS-08 under Part 9 of the BC Building Code will
expire on Dec. 19. This meant that windows, doors and skylights
installed before Dec. 20 may conform to the 2006 code or to the 2012
code.
Fenestration products installed on or after December 20 must conform to
the
2012 code and with NAFS-08. The extension does not apply to Part 5
buildings.
