Sept. 1, 2011 – Companies from the fields of glass systems engineering,
the glass industry and the glazier trade may now register for Glasstec
2012. The world’s largest glass trade fair will be held at the
Düsseldorf exhibition grounds from Oct. 23 to 26.

The trademark of Glasstec as the leading international trade fair is its
coverage of the value-added chain around the material glass and its
unique product and service range. The level of internationalism of the
44,000 visitors to Glasstec 2010, 57 per cent of which came from abroad,
is second to none in the world. Eighty percent said that they were involved
in managerial decisions in their company.

At the same time, Solarpeq, the International Trade Fair for Solar
Production Equipment, will be held for the second time since 2010 in
Hall 11. This exhibition is thus directly integrated into Glasstec. It
covers the area of production technology for crystalline and thin-film
photovoltaics. This segment includes mainly producers of machines and
systems and their corresponding components, but also materials for the
production of solar final products. Glasstec visitors will continue to
find solar applications, such as applied photovoltaics in architecture.
According to the results of the official visitor survey 2010, the
combination of the two trade fairs was welcomed expressly. Visitor
registration for Solarpeq is also open now. One admission ticket allows
entry to both fairs.
