CRL-U.S. launches Mojave Series Advanced Thermal Storefront and Entrance system

August 24, 2017  By CRL-U.S. Aluminum

Aug. 24, 2017 – CRL-U.S. Aluminum has announced the launch of its new Mojave Series Advanced Thermal Storefront and Entrance. The system will make its premiere at GlassBuild America this September in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mojave is NFRC rated, and engineered to provide optimal thermal performance to meet California Title 24 requirements using both the performance calculation and area-weighted prescriptive approaches. California Title 24 is among the most difficult energy codes to comply with but Mojave is designed to demystify the process. The system can be configured for compliance using area weighting to produce small- and large-scale storefronts.

Mojave Series utilizes polyamide struts and advanced internal insulation to produce an energy efficient door that is only 1-3/4″ in depth. This door thickness allows the system to be compatible with a wide range of locking and mounting hardware, which makes it ideal for upgrading existing entrances.

“For glaziers to succeed, they must adapt to evolving energy codes, which is why they look for manufacturers that can navigate codes, and offer the necessary fenestration systems and documentation,” said Gary Sprague, Vice President of Design at CRL-U.S. Aluminum. “Our unique combination of products and services positions us as the ideal project partner.”

Mojave Series glazed walls feature a center-glazed 2″ x 4-1/2″ thermal frame that accommodates 1″ insulating glass units. Entrances offer a selection of narrow, medium, and wide vertical stiles, as well as center hung, offset pivot, or butt hinge mounting options.
