Schmidt to lead Viracon’s architectural design department

schmidtDec. 22, 2011 – Viracon has announced Alissa Schmidt will be its new Architectural Design Department manager. Schmidt was officially promoted on December 12. Since 2005, Schmidt has worked at Viracon, most recently as an architectural design associate, providing technical, specification and design assistance to the architectural community.  She has developed national and international relationships with major architects and consultants in the industry. The promotion recognizes Schmidt’s accomplishments at Viracon over the past seven years.

contributions to Viracon’s client relationships and brings a creative
edge to our design team. We see exceptional talent in Alissa.”

In her new role, Schmidt
will be responsible for leading the Architectural Design Department’s
focus on providing consultative design assistance to architects as they
select and specify the glass products to be utilized on their projects.
 
Schmidt
is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Bachelor of Science degree
in interior design.  She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council
and the Construction Specifications Institute.
