June 28, 2018  By IGMA

June 26, 2018 – IGMA has announced a new half-day industry workshop titled the IG Fabricator Forensic Investigations Workshop, which takes place Thursday, August 2nd at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver on the waters in this beautiful city in British Columbia. This event features a hands-on tool kit to determine failure modes starting from the basic visual inspection to destructive analysis of the unit. Participants will rotate through 6 workstations with specific failure modes and learn how to detect and remediate them. This event is facilitated by Jim Blamble, SIKA Corporation and Bill Lingnell, PE, Lingnell Consulting Services.

“We are building on the success of our IG Fabricators Workshop by giving fabricators a deep look at unit failure and the tools to track down the cause,” said Margaret Webb, IGMA Executive Director. “We look forward to continuing our mission of providing the industry with a skill set that elevates the quality of the industry as a whole.”

Registration for the event is $80 (USD) per person for the first two attendees from a company, and $75 (USD) per person for each additional attendee. The event coincides with the IGMA Summer Conference, held earlier in the week at the same venue.
