Mar. 1, 2018 – After more than 20 years of service, it is with a heavy heart that the senior management of Walker Glass Company announces the retirement of Marc Deschamps, Business Development Manager, effective March 30th 2018.
Marc Deschamps started with Walker Glass as an Accountant (CPA) in April 1997 as Director of Finance. He held this role until 2003 at which time he launched a second career with the company, as Business Development Manager. Marc’s leadership role in the development and implementation of the Walker Textures® brand was unsurpassed. Under his direction, numerous products and programs were launched, and an architectural team covering North America was successfully built and fully trained. He was also responsible for the Marketing team and the promotion of various products including Walker’s market-leading AviProtek® bird friendly glass product line which he mentored and managed. His involvement in the glass industry was also significant, actively participating as a GANA member. Marc was in fact awarded Member of the Year in 2017 and was named to USGlass Magazine’s 2012 list of the “Industry’s Most Influential”.
