Apr. 9, 2010 – Glass Doctor is strengthening its corporate management team by naming Dan Mock to the new position of VP of franchise relations and training, adding Mark Liston to the team as VP of operations, and promoting Todd Overpeck to the new position of e-commerce and public relations manager.

In his new role, Mock will continue to grow the successful Glass Doctor University, which trains new and existing Glass Doctor franchise owners, their glass service technicians and personnel, and other glass industry professionals. Mock also will support franchise owners by conducting regional meetings and training sessions, as well as developing new customer service initiatives.

“One of our key internal focuses over the last few years is supporting our franchisees in implementing the Glass Doctor customer service system,” President Mark Dawson said. “Two years ago we opened the Glass Doctor University Training Center, which is the only one of its kind in the glass industry. That being said, many opportunities remain to enhance our training to new and existing franchisees, as well as to give back to the glass industry by offering professional development in programs such as AGRSS. We look forward to watching Dan Mock take our training programs to the next level.”

Mock has more than 35 years of experience in the glass industry, including the last eight years with Glass Doctor, where he has served as Vice President of Operations as well as Franchise Consultant. Mock will continue to serve on the boards of the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards (AGRSS) Council and the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA).

With more than 30 years of franchising management experience, Liston also worked for Valpak, where he was Director of New Franchise Development. Liston is active in the International Franchise Association (IFA) and currently serves as Vice Chair of the CFE program as a member of the ICFE Board of Governors, as well as the Board of Trustees for IFA’s Educational Foundation.

“Mark will be a great addition in our continued efforts to build the Glass Doctor brand not only in the United States, but Canada as well,” Dawson said. “His experience as a director for Valpak’s Canadian operations and his service with IFA will be indispensable as we complete our network of full-service glass shops across North America.”

Overpeck has more than 18 years of experience in public relations, marketing and strategic planning, including the last three years with Glass Doctor as Communications Specialist. In the position of E-Commerce and Public Relations Manager, Overpeck will coordinate online marketing, website management and social media initiatives, as well as support individual franchise marketing plans.
