Oct. 25, 2010 – The Canadian Glass Association (CGA) has announced that its educational and networking event, Glass Connections, will come to Toronto, Ont. on May 3, 2011. The first Glass Connections event took place September 30, 2010, at the Delta Burnaby Hotel & Conference Centre in Vancouver, B.C.
Glass Connections Toronto 2011 is a one-day session that will present the latest technologies for the glass and metal industry used to improve the productivity of glazing building envelopes. The event is for glaziers, architects, engineers, designers, spec writers, commercial construction contractors and building owners.
Seminars will cover a wide range of industry specific topics including photovoltaic technology for the glass industry, heat treatment of glass, insulating glass and manufacturing, training and retaining young glazing apprentices and Building Code Energy Efficiencies.
In addition, the conference will host a Table Top Trade Show to give manufacturers and suppliers the opportunity to showcase their products, services and upcoming technologies. Sponsorship packages are also available.
