 Aria presents a skillfully-designed modern
solution to privacy challenges in open,
day-lit interiors. It is a graded glass that
elegantly provides a high degree of
opacity from the floor to a height of
approximately 30 inches (76cm), rises to
a more translucent range, and culminates
in near-transparency.

Merletto draws inspiration from some of
nature’s most dramatic forms – electrical
pulses and biomorphic forms – as well as
the modern visual arts. Its distinctive,
fine linear design gracefully adds sparkle
and punch to interior spaces.

Staccato builds upon the structure of Trattini
 (shown below).  An asymmetrical
composition of circles and ellipses
suspended atop a structured linear pattern
creates the vibrancy in Staccato’s “beaded”
surface. Walking past the glass creates
an illusion of circles spinning around invisible
axes, making Staccato an exciting
choice for hospitality and residential
applications.

Inspired by
the minimalist art of the
1960s, Trattini’s stylish, syncopated
grid of
vertical lines of varying widths
is punctuated by subtle horizontal

bands. Its understated elegance makes
it a superb choice for corporate
offices,
public and healthcare facilities.

Dec. 8, 2009 – Bendheim has collaborated with world renowned Robert A.M. Stern Architects and OmniDécor of Italy to create a collection of glasses for the international design/build market. The new ROBERT A.M. STERN COLLECTION for BENDHEIM is designed for installation in partition walls, doors and windows, shower enclosures, building facades, and decorative features.

“Glass technology has achieved a new level of sophistication, making it possible to step beyond high performance with an exploration of patterning, translucency, and reflectivity,” said Robert A.M. Stern.

The ROBERT A.M. STERN COLLECTION for BENDHEIM, inspired by the visual arts and architectural design, includes four etched pattern glasses offering varying levels of obscuration. Intricate designs on both sides of the glass lend a strong sense of dimensionality and movement, allowing the glass to dynamically interact with light and surrounding design elements. The permanent etched glass surfaces are non-coated and naturally resistant to fingerprints and staining over the lifetime of the product.

“We are extremely proud to partner with leaders such as Robert A.M. Stern Architects and OmniDécor.  This collection of crystal-clear, dimensional patterned glasses is unlike anything currently available on the market,” said Donald Jayson, Sr. Vice President of Bendheim.

The collection is produced on ultra-clear low-iron float glass, utilizing sophisticated production methods with particular attention to the strictest environmental protection standards. The ROBERT A.M. STERN COLLECTION for BENDHEIM can contribute points to LEED v.3: EA Credit 1 “Optimize Energy Performance” and IEQ Credits 8.1 and 8.2 “Daylight & Views.”

The glass is available in three standard thicknesses: 1/4” (6 mm), 3/8” (10 mm) and 1/2” (12 mm) and in sheets up to 88.5” by 126” (225 cm by 320 cm). Additional thicknesses and colors, including bronze, amber, blue and green, can be custom ordered. For samples and more information, contact Bendheim at 800-606-7621, or visit www.bendheim.com.
