Windowmaker makes big sale in India

July 4, 2011  By Windowmaker Software

July 4, 2011 – Windowmaker has joined forces with three of the world’s largest manufacturers of machinery to equip AIS Glass Solutions with advanced software interfaces for its five new state–of–the-art manufacturing plants in India.

Windowmaker recently announced its deal with AIS Glass
Solutions, one of the largest integrated glass manufacturers in
India. With this deal, AIS becomes the 51st customer for Windowmaker in
India. AIS has recently diversified into manufacture of PVC-u windows and doors.

LGFSysmac, a leading machinery and hardware supplier in India, has
provided AIS with machinery from three global manufacturers – Rapid,
Thorwesten and Urban. Windowmaker has successfully implemented a
four-user system, complete with machinery links, for the first of these
upcoming plants. These machines will seamlessly integrate over a network
with Windowmaker to retrieve Windowmaker data and automate the
manufacturing process for AIS.

Vikram Singh, AIS plant head, said, “We decided to start the most
advanced window production facility in India with Windowmaker software
to interface our machinery. The Windowmaker team finished the job on
time, and we are very satisfied with the results. The training,
conducted at our new plant, helped us use Windowmaker more effectively.
Since the implementation, we have realized enormous benefits in our
overall plant throughput. We are glad that we made the correct decision
in buying the Windowmaker software.”

“The Indian PVC-u market is yet to mature in terms of
manufacturing processes and consumer awareness. AIS’ entry will speed
this process and help PVC-u garner bigger pie of the total Indian
window/door market,” said Pratap Singh, Windowmaker sales manager.
“Through this deal, Windowmaker will provide AIS with the flexibility
and resources needed to deliver enhanced propositions.”
