Aug. 19, 2010 – Excitement is already building for the Canadian Glass Association’s inaugural Conference & Trade Show, taking place on September 30, 2010 at the Delta Burnaby Hotel & Conference Centre.

Aug. 19, 2010 – Excitement is already building for the Canadian Glass Association’s inaugural Conference & Trade Show, taking place on September 30, 2010 at the Delta Burnaby Hotel & Conference Centre.
 
Glass Connections 2010 is a highly focused educational and networking event for glaziers, architects, engineers, designers, spec writers, commercial construction contractors and building owners. Seminar topics will address photovoltaic technology for the glass industry, window thermal performance, the durability of insulating glass units, recruiting top level talent and a session outlining the new standards to improve the energy efficiency of windows and glazing systems under the BC Energy Efficiency Act.

The conference promises to offer something for everyone. One example of a “can’t miss” presentation is “Raise Your Window Performance to Meet Tomorrow’s New Levels”, being presented by Christopher Barry, Director Technical Services, Pilkington NA Inc. It promises to present vital information for professionals in the fenestration industry.

Since 1986, Christopher Barry he has worked in Technical Services for Pilkington North America in Toledo, Ohio. Barryis an active member of IGMAC (now IGMA), ASTM and ASHRAE. He is a frequent presenter at trade shows and conferences such as Glass Week in the US, and Glass Performance Days, Finland.
