Viracon promotes three to
Six Sigma Black Belts

Viracon has promoted Bethany Stringer, Matt Jukkala and Mike Smith to the position of Six Sigma Black Belts. In their new roles, Stringer, Jukkala and Smith will be supporting manufacturing and transactional processes.

Dec. 6, 2010 – Viracon has promoted Bethany Stringer, Matt Jukkala and Mike Smith to the position of Six Sigma Black Belts. In their new roles, Stringer, Jukkala and Smith will be supporting manufacturing and transactional processes.
 
“We pride ourselves in striving for continuous improvements in our company, and the Six Sigma program is a significant part of our efforts,” says Ryan Falch, Six Sigma Champion at Viracon. “We’d like to congratulate Bethany, Matt and Mike on their new roles aimed at providing a higher level of excellence.”

Six Sigma is a business management strategy that seeks to improve quality through efficient business and manufacturing processes.  To achieve Black Belt status, a professional must enroll in advanced leadership and management training.
 
Stringer has been with Viracon since August of 2008 and previously worked as an Inside Sales Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration.

 Mike Smith.  

Jukkala joined Viracon in August of 2008 as a Coatings Supervisor.  Prior to joining Viracon, he worked as an Engineers Officer in the military. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics.
 
Smith started at Viracon as a management trainee in January 2008.  Prior to joining Viracon, he was a Captain, Armor in the United States Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and criminology from Kansas State University.
