Then it’s your chance to chime in with questions and arguments in a townhall-style forum. Let’s get some conversation going!
Nathalie Thibault is technical director of Canadian affairs for the Fenestration and Industry Glazing Alliance. Her background includes 15 years at a major Quebec glass fabricator with roles in project, supply chain, IT and sales management. Nathalie has dedicated significant time to industry associations, including the Quebec glass association, AVFQ; the Glass Association of North America, where she served on the Board of Directors from 2011 to 2015; and president of the Insulating Glass Manufacturers’ Alliance from 2017 to 2020. Nathalie also owns a sports brewery restaurant with her father. She lives in Rivière-du-Loup, Que., and has a degree in management from Concordia University and participated in an exchange program with Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. In her “spare time,” she is pursuing an MBA in strategy and innovation at Laval University.
Mike Bruno is the second-generation president of Alumitex Window and Doors, a Toronto-based commercial fenestration fabricator serving the GTA and southern Ontario for over 50 years. Mike started in the business playing with his toys on the floor of his father’s shop and his passion for the business has only grown over the years. Today, he is the vice-president of Fenestration Canada and has expanded into residential vinyl and hybrid vinyl/aluminum windows and luxury wood doors, shipping product across the country and opening a second location in Thunder Bay.
Andrew Dolphin is general manager of glass operations at BV Glazing, where he manages glass quoting, production and purchasing of all glass product. He brings a wealth of operations and manufacturing knowledge from his 17 years in the business at Trulite and Sherwood before that. Andrew is one of the industry’s “team players,” having served on the Ontario Glass and Metal Association board for the last five years and as president in 2019.
Peter Dushenski is the managing director of GlasCurtain, a 100-per cent Canadian-owned and operated curtain wall manufacturer that specializes in fibreglass-framed systems. Peter joined the company in 2013 just before the commercial product launch at Greenbuild 2013 in Philadelphia. Since then he’s lead the company to several industry firsts including the highest thermally performing curtain wall in the world based on Passive House (PHI) certification – rated to R9.5. Peter has been invited to speak at the Canada-EU Green Building Forum in Brussels, Belgium, at Ecobuild in London, U.K., at CaGBC’s Building Lasting Change conference, and at BUILDEX Vancouver. In addition to speaking, Peteris also a passionate writer. His article for the December 2018 issue of Glass Canada magazine received the cover story. Peter lives in Edmonton, is happily married, and is the proud father of two little boys.
