June 3, 2019 - Glaston and Burghard Schneider have together agreed that Mr Schneider will leave the Group on May 27, 2019. Burghard Schneider has been responsible for the Bystronic glass business since 2014 and member of Glaston Group's Executive Management Group (EMG) as of 1 April 2019. Dietmar Walz, former Chief Sales Officer at Bystronic glass, will assume the position as President for the Bystronic glass business and member of the EMG.
May 22, 2019 - Dymax Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Koppenhaver as the new Americas Director of Sales. April 17, 2019 - Biesse Group is proud to announce the promotion of Niki Kaltsounis-Kampiziones to Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Biesse and Intermac in North America. Kampiziones, currently in her 24th year with Biesse, has played a key role in the growth and strategic decisions for the company during her tenure as Executive Vice President of Operations and previously as Chief Financial Officer.
April 15, 2019 - Effective April 8, 2019, Marco Schiavon has been appointed CEO of Forel North America. As CEO, Schiavon will oversee the operations at the St. Paul, Minnesota and Toronto, Ontario locations.
Mar. 20, 2019 - For the first time in its history, Biesse Group is opening a manufacturing facility on American soil to assemble Italian-engineered Diamut diamond profiling wheels for glass, stone and ceramic processing. When the new facility opens in mid-March on the Biesse Charlotte Campus in North Carolina, customers in the U.S. and Canada will gain shorter lead times and customer service closer to home.
Mar. 11, 2019 - Biesse has announced that Randy Jamison has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing in North America. He previously held positions in the company as Vice President of Sales for the Wood Division and as Brand Manager for Selco Panel Saws, Biesse America and Canada. His more than 25 years of industry experience and insights into Biesse’s success in North America will greatly assist the company’s Wood, Advanced Materials, Glass and Stone Divisions in their sales, distribution and marketing strategies as they build a cohesive vision and offer customers ongoing technology leadership.
GED Integrated Solutions, Inc. (GED) has welcomed over 30 employees in 2018 as the company continues to grow.  To keep pace with sales growth, it has added several new individuals in key management positions. Trevor Kropf has been hired as a Regional Sales Manager representing GED’s Canadian territory to promote and sell all product offerings and serve Canadian customers.  Kropf has 20 years of industrial sales experience, and resides outside of Toronto, Ontario.
Glaston Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire the Bystronic glass Group. The globally operating high-end machinery, systems and services provider for the processing of flat glass is currently owned by Swiss industrial holding company Conzzeta AG. Bystronic glass has a comprehensive range of products, highly complementary to Glaston’s, for the Architectural, Automotive and Display markets.
Jan. 22, 2019 - Bavelloni SpA has signed an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Glaston Tools Srl with Glaston Corporation, a Finnish company leader in the field of glass heat treatment technologies and listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

Sept. 4, 2018 - Othmar Sailer has been CEO of the LiSEC Group for more than six years. Now he leaves the company. Othmar Sailer on the decision: "I really enjoyed working for LiSEC and have been able to make significant progress over time. An important task was, among many others, to build a reliable and competent management team, which I managed to do. Now is the time to devote myself to new tasks". Sailer has put a strong focus on the development of strategy, culture, structures, the introduction and optimization of processes and, above all, the further development of product management: business units that shape the respective product groups were founded, the innovation rate rose sharply. Other focal points were the successful expansion of the service business and intensive work on digitization in the glass business.
May 30, 2018 - The KSR plant from LiSEC for grinding glass sheets is a core of the production at Interpane (part of the AGC Group) at the site in Parndorf, Austria. It runs in three-shift operation and produces an average daily rate of nearly 2,000 linear metres.
May 30, 2018 - Longer – Heavier – Bigger! The B’JUMBO XXL insulating glass production line from Bystronic glass can be described using these three attributes that were inspired by the motto that was coined by Pierre de Coubertin for the Olympic Games. With this line, Bystronic glass is setting new benchmarks in architectural glass production: The production line measuring 165 metres in length is used to automatically produce insulating glass up to 18 metres in length, a globally unique size. Consequently, it is the longest insulating glass production line in the world and recently entered service at the famous German manufacturer Thiele Glas, based in Wermsdorf, Saxony. Thiele Glas has achieved an excellent reputation in recent decades, particularly in terms of creating unusual façades in industrial buildings.
