Sept. 4, 2018 - Othmar Sailer has been CEO of the LiSEC Group for more than six years. Now he leaves the company. Othmar Sailer on the decision: "I really enjoyed working for LiSEC and have been able to make significant progress over time. An important task was, among many others, to build a reliable and competent management team, which I managed to do. Now is the time to devote myself to new tasks". Sailer has put a strong focus on the development of strategy, culture, structures, the introduction and optimization of processes and, above all, the further development of product management: business units that shape the respective product groups were founded, the innovation rate rose sharply. Other focal points were the successful expansion of the service business and intensive work on digitization in the glass business.
May 30, 2018 - The KSR plant from LiSEC for grinding glass sheets is a core of the production at Interpane (part of the AGC Group) at the site in Parndorf, Austria. It runs in three-shift operation and produces an average daily rate of nearly 2,000 linear metres.
May 30, 2018 - Longer – Heavier – Bigger! The B’JUMBO XXL insulating glass production line from Bystronic glass can be described using these three attributes that were inspired by the motto that was coined by Pierre de Coubertin for the Olympic Games. With this line, Bystronic glass is setting new benchmarks in architectural glass production: The production line measuring 165 metres in length is used to automatically produce insulating glass up to 18 metres in length, a globally unique size. Consequently, it is the longest insulating glass production line in the world and recently entered service at the famous German manufacturer Thiele Glas, based in Wermsdorf, Saxony. Thiele Glas has achieved an excellent reputation in recent decades, particularly in terms of creating unusual façades in industrial buildings.
Apr. 16, 2018 - Glaston has closed a deal for a RC Series flat tempering line for processing extra long glasses up to 12 meters, to Novavetro located in San Severino Marche, Italy. The order is booked in Glaston’s Q2/2018 order book and is part of Glaston second-quarter expected order intake. The furnace will be delivered to Italy towards the end of 2018.
Mar. 21, 2018 - Stürtz Machinery Inc. has announced the promotion of Michael Thomas to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mike earned his BS in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting, from Baldwin Wallace College. He is a licensed CPA and Chartered Global Management Accountant. Mike has headed up SMI’s accounting and administration groups since 1997.

Feb. 2, 2018 - OROShazaGLAS Kft. is a flat glass processor in 100 % Hungarian property, which is on a growth course. Located 20 kilometers away from the Rumanian border, approximately 170 employees process high-class flat glass to unique end products. In addition, the company has a technical office and an assembly team in Budapest. Founded in 1995 (roots are going back to 1974), the company generates a yearly turnover of 12 million Euros. 70% of the products are exported.
Jan. 18, 2018 - LiSEC set itself the target of developing the most efficient cutting table for flat glass. Jan. 16, 2018 -  AMETEK Land, working in partnership with furnace monitoring system manufacturer SVA Industrie Fernseh (SVA), has developed a new housing and pneumatic auto-retraction system for AMETEK Land’s renowned NIR-B (Near Infrared Borescope) Glass thermal imaging solution for glass furnace applications.
Nov. 14, 2017 -  LiSEC has revolutionized logistical handling of insulating glass units due to a sophisticated handling system. This logistics solution, which consists of a gantry crane facility (UTS-B) and a mobile unit buffer (MEB-B), improves quality, saves time, resources and money.

Sept. 27, 2017 - Intermac enjoyed a tremendous show at GlassBuild 2017 from Sept. 12-14 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, showcasing the latest version of the Master Series CNC work centers and both Genius RS-A and Genius CT-Red Cutting Table at Booth 2837. Among the exciting enhancements displayed for the NEW Master Series: greater tool change capacity offering up to 53 tool change positions (3-, 4- and 5-axis options) along with new safety door design and user friendly Windows 7 compatible software.
