Jan. 24, 2012 – Quanex Building Products, a company specializing in components and systems that produce innovative and energy-efficient window and door products, announced that Reed P. Gnos will be joining the team as a business development manager. In his new role, Reed Gnos will be responsible for sales and product/business development for the specialty components market (non-fenestration accounts) in North America. This role will include expanding and diversifying Quanex’s core competencies into new markets and adding new customers throughout North America.
Gnos has more than 18 years of sales and marketing experience. In 2003,
he decided to start his own company, RPG Sales, a small
manufacturer’s rep firm. He has operated the firm as owner and president
for almost 10 years, with responsibilities that included managing all
sales and marketing efforts for more than $2 million in annual sales.
“This newly created position allows me the opportunity to start up
another new business venture, much like I did 10 years ago, although
this time I get to do it for an organization that specializes in
manufacturing excellence.” said Gnos. “This new opportunity and
expanded market focus give me the potential to build a program outside
of Quanex’s traditional business model. In doing so, I am fortunate
enough to help create new markets and customers that can benefit from
Quanex’s proven and successful core competencies.”
In his new position, Gnos hopes to make Quanex a leader as a component
supplier to OEM manufacturers in a multitude of markets in North
America.
Gnos is a 1992 graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He currently resides in Edina, Minn.
