May 28, 2010 – The Ontario Golf and Metal Association (OGMA) held its annual golf tournament yesterday at Cardinal Golf Club in Newmarket. The tournament was played on the Redcrest course, a par 71 championship golf course measuring approximately 6,800 yards from the back tees.

Glass professionals came from across the province to network, share dinner and, of course, golf. Proceeds will be donated to local charities.

Numerous sponsors helped to make the day a success. Hole sponsors included Triple Seal, Protemp, RPM, Tremco, Oldcastle Glass, Kawneer and Sika. The pre-tournament lunch was sponsored by Alumicor.

The prize for lowest score was sponsored by M.E. Powell Insurance Brokers of Oakville, Ont. Taking home the prize was Gary Parker of InKan. In his foursome were Jim Skipworth and Matt Laub, also of InKan, and Andrew Kennedy of Rochester Insulated Glass.

A number of people took home prizes for the longest drive on various holes, including Gord Wiggins of Flynn Canada, Bruce Hartley of Ferguson-Neudorf and Jeff Pequoia.
