NGA president new chair for IAGF

Feb. 23, 2009 – The International Automotive Glass Federation (IAGF), has chosen Philip J. James as its new chairman during InterAutoGlass’ General Meeting on February 18, replacing Freddy Grumstrup Sorensen.

The International Automotive Glass Federation (IAGF), has chosen Philip J. James as its new chairman during InterAutoGlass’ General Meeting on February 18, replacing Freddy Grumstrup Sorensen.

James is president and CEO of the National Glass Association in the US, one of the member organizations of InterAutoGlass. He maintains currency as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and received a MPA from the George Mason University School of Public Policy.

The InterAutoGlass members also elected Alessandro Oliveto of Associazone Professionisti del Vetro APVA in Italy as vice chairman.
The IAGF started at the end of 2007 to concentrate on technical standards and codes, training programs and health and safety issues. It also stages national and international competitions for auto glass technicians or fitters.
