aama_appJuly 4, 2014 – The American Architectural Manufacturers Association
(AAMA) will host a weekly webinar series in July, covering a range of
topics pertaining to using the AAMA website and social media platforms
like LinkedIn and Twitter.

The free series is geared toward both novice and expert users of the website and social media. It will run four weeks, on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. EDT, on July 8, 15, 22 and 29. Members are encouraged to register for one session or all four. All that is needed to participate is a computer and an internet connection.

Week one’s session is titled “Members Only: Navigating Essential Tools within the AAMA Website.” AAMA marketing coordinator Lori Benshoof will show webinar participants how to access content available only to AAMA members, the benefits of the Members Only directory and more.

In week two, Benshoof will explore LinkedIn, offering an opportunity for participants to review their own account features and settings. She also will review LinkedIn Groups and help members connect with the AAMA groups and discussions.

Week three will be hosted by AAMA's communications coordinator, Meryl Williams, who will show participants the value of using Twitter. She will review best practices for crafting tweets, building lists and gaining followers.

Week four, the final edition of the series, will tell members how to engage with AAMA via the new AAMA app, news, photos, blogs and more. Williams will lead participants through AAMA’s four blogs and answer questions about how multimedia can be used to reach customers and peers.

Angela Dickson, AAMA's marketing manager, confirms the association’s commitment to providing social media training to members. “We’re very excited to offer this weekly webinar series covering tips and tricks to better enable members to:
* Be the first to know about information relevant to our industry;
* Connect with peers during and in between AAMA events and
* Understand the value of social media within a professional network,” Dickson adds.
Members may register online for these and all future webinars.
