Nov. 5, 2015 - On October 27, 2015, Prompt Payment Ontario (PPO) had its consultation with the Ontario Construction Lien Act (CLA) Review. According to Sandra Skivsky representing PPO, “We had a 4 hour meeting with Bruce Reynolds and Sharon Vogel to discuss the key issues they identified in the Information Package, and some identified by PPO, such as the impact on Benefit/Pension Plans. It was an informal and free ranging discussion on how the various elements for Payment Security would work with Prompt Payment principles.”

Sept. 24, 2015 - Company Presidents Mike Willard (Salem Glass) and Mike Synon (HHH Tempering) have announced their respective companies are partnering to offer comprehensive glass services—independent of their unique brands—through the joint venture Glass Tempering Resources. This entity will serve the glass industry with new and refurbished tempering lines and other refurbished equipment. Additionally, Glass Tempering Resources will offer Master Service Agreements for all tempering brands.
Aug. 31, 2015 - Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, a CRH Group company, has executed a binding agreement, subject to regulatory approval, to acquire C.R. Laurence Co. Inc., North America's largest manufacturer and distributor of custom hardware and glazing products to the glass and glazing industry.
Aug. 19, 2015 - CRL's new 8B Series Base Shoe for monolithic tempered glass recently received ICC-ES certification per Evaluation Report ESR-3269. The report verifies that the base shoe meets building code requirements for performance and safety, and also addresses new 2015 IBC code requirements.
Aug. 6, 2015 - Everlam, a new company producing Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayers for laminated safety glass, has announced the appointment of Jim Howard as VP Sales North America. The company, established in Europe and started operating in 2015, is making a decisive move towards development of its business worldwide.
July 28, 2015 - Kawneer Company has named Colin Brosmer as Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Product Development. In this role, Brosmer will join Alcoa’s Building and Construction Systems (BCS) Lead Team and will be responsible for sales, marketing, architectural promotions, product development and front end functions for North America. 
July 20, 2015 - The Ontario Glass and Metal Association has joined Prompt Payment Ontario, a small business lobby group advocating for provincial legislation governing payment terms for construction contractors. The OGMA board asked for an received permission from its members to put up the $10,000 membership fee to join the group. Now that the OGMA is a member of the group, members have an opportunity to fill out a survey detailing the damages their businesses have experienced as a result of delinquent payments. The OGMA’s announcement to members follows:
