Dec. 1, 2010 – Modernfold’s Custom-Designed Operable Partitions product line has been selected by Interior Design as a finalist in its 2010 Best of Year Awards. This is the magazine’s fifth annual competition.
According to the competition's organizers, selection as a finalist product recognizes Custom-Designed Operable Partitions as one of the year’s finest new interior design lines. The Modernfold product enables the creation of operable walls in a practically unlimited array of custom styles, colors, materials, dimensions and configurations. According to Dorma, Modernfold’s Acousti-Seal and Glass Wall System (GWS) lines offer the greatest possible design latitude wherever interiors call for the versatility of operable partition walls.
Last year, two Dorma products, MOVEO and MAGNEO, were also selected as Best of Year finalists. The MOVEO moveable wall system creates elegant, light-flooded space division solutions, enabling several separate events to be held concurrently. An automated sliding system powered by linear magnetic drive technology (LMD), MAGNEO redefined both the function and design of sliding systems.
Interior Design’s 2010 Best of Year Awards will be announced in a Dec. 2 ceremony at the IAC Building, New York City.
