Guardian Industries expands continuing education offerings

December 17, 2015  By Guardian Industries

Dec. 17, 2015 – Guardian Industries Corp. has enhanced its continuing education programs, giving architects more options to earn learning credits through their American Institute of Architects (AIA) membership.

“In an effort to educate architects about the role of high performance glass in commercial building projects, Guardian has a long history of producing AIA continuing education units, while cultivating relationships that help the company create and promote CEUs to today’s busy professional,” explains Brian Schulz, Commercial Product Manager, Guardian Industries Corp. “We’re grateful that our partnerships have resulted in new offerings to our AIA CEU program.”

The new offerings:

  • In conjunction with longtime partner Architectural Record/BNP Media, Guardian now offers “Daylighting Design Update.” This presentation discusses the benefits of natural daylighting in respect to indoor environmental quality for occupants and building energy optimization. It uses case studies to highlight daylighting components of LEED v4 and includes trends in glass and glazing design, visual and performance options.
  • Guardian has updated its “Evolution of Glass and High Performance Coatings” CEU to add new videos and visuals to describe the basics of glass and the manufacturing process.
  • Guardian is part of The Architect’s Newspaper’s new continuing education app, CE|Strong. Architects can learn anytime, anywhere with these easy-access courses. Guardian’s “Principles of Glass Selection for Facades” is one of the app’s inaugural courses.
