Aug. 18, 2014 – GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo has released an updated trade show app for 2014 with new features and capabilities. Available for iOS, Android, Blackberry, and mobile web, the app features an interactive exhibit hall map, complete show schedule, social media links, and much more.
The app was introduced in 2013 and was a great success from the start. Having all the detailed information about the show at their fingertips greatly enhances the show experience for attendees and exhibitors. We are thrilled to bring the app back in 2014 with new features,” says Denise Sheehan, vice president of Industry Events for the National Glass Association and the Window and Door Dealers Alliance. “Exhibitors and sponsors see exposure on yet another platform during the show, and the app continues to live on after the show closes, giving attendees even more time to see their products and services.”
In the app, users can view a complete listing of events taking place at GlassBuild America—including Express Learning sessions, the Glazing Executives Forum, the Dealers Forum, and demos—and add them to their personal schedule. From the interactive exhibit hall map, users can use the Locate Me function to find their location in the hall and then map a route to another booth. Links to GlassBuild America’s Twitter feed, photo stream, Road to GlassBuild blog, and more are all included in the app.
New this year, the GlassBuild America mobile app, developed by Core-Apps, Inc., is designed to include multiple event apps. Each year, a new app will be developed and automatically added to the GlassBuild America app on users’ devices. Users can keep past-year apps on their device and continue to review notes, events, and exhibitors from previous events.
