McCann becomes Viracon director of international sales
Viracon, a single-source
architectural glass fabricator, has promoted Don McCann to the position of director, international sales.

architectural glass fabricator, has promoted Don McCann to the position of director, international sales. In his new
role, McCann will immediately assume responsibility for international
sales representatives and territories outside North and South America.

"We are very pleased to announce Don as the new director of international sales," says Kelly Schuller, senior vice-president, sales
and marketing. "His architectural and glazing industry experience,
combined with his extensive product knowledge make him a tremendous
asset not just to Viracon, but also to our customers around the world.
He has significant international experience, and I am confident
architects and customers working on projects outside the Americas will
find Don to be a valuable partner and compliment to our existing company
representatives."

McCann brings a wealth of experience to his
new position. In his nearly 25 years at Viracon, McCann has worked
closely with architects around the world on a wide variety of
architectural glazing projects. Most recently, he served as the manager
of the architectural design team at Viracon, working with architects to
offer specification and design assistance as well as providing practical
glass solutions that meet project-specific performance and aesthetic
needs.

McCann is also active in the architectural glazing
industry. He frequently presents American Institute of Architects (AIA)
registered seminars and has spoken both in the U.S. and around the world
on a variety of architectural glass topics. He recently presented at
the Building Envelope Contractors (BEC) Conference in Las Vegas, and in
October he will be presenting at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban
Habitat (CTBUH) World Conference in Seoul, Korea. He is a LEED Green
Associate and has written articles for numerous industry publications
including Construction Specifier, Glass Magazine and USGlass. McCann
holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s
degree in finance and accounting.
