Glaston FC1000 – high-tech low E

October 7, 2015  By Glaston

The Glaston FC1000 is the result of continuous development from the Glaston FC500. Equipped with new technological advances, FC1000 meets stringent demands for glass quality, energy efficiency and low-E glass tempering capacity.

The FC1000 with the new Glaston Chinook Pro convection system transfers heat more accurately and uniformly than conventional convection systems. The accuracy is achieved with an extreme air volume blown on the top and bottom of the glass at low pressure. This convection design results in a uniform heat transfer that ensures high quality for all glass types and thicknesses, especially low-E glass. The FC1000 also includes a new, dense roller conveying system to further minimize edge kink and glass waviness. The brand-new slot nozzle design of the chiller decreases differences in stress levels inside the glass. This feature and the overall design of the FC1000 line radically reduces iridescence. Based on the principles of thermodynamics, the FC1000 sets a new trend in power consumption and brings the total energy consumption close to the absolute minimum. The advanced design eliminates the need for large convection compressors and the heating of any cold compressed air.
