gathered at the Royalton Conference Centre in Vaughan, Ont., on Dec. 12
to remember the former Walker Glass representative. Gollert passed away Oct. 29 at the age of 71 from throat cancer.
The mostly upbeat group enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks while swapping stories about Gollert spanning more than 40 years in the commercial glass industry. Andrew Jackson remembered Gollert with humour and a number of lively anecdotes in a heartfelt speech. Jackson, Bernie Leaman, John Baldry and Gollert's family organized the memorial and provided a tabletop display with many photos. Walker Glass sponsored the event and president Lee Harrison and vice-president of sales Ross Christie were in attendance.
