Nov. 10, 2010 – It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Strassburger on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 at the age of 61.

Born in Kitchener, Dennis was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Anne of 41 years and a hero to his children Dana Strassburger and his partner David Hoyles and Brad Strassburger and his wife Jill. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Morgan and Estella Strassburger and he will be missed by his father and mother-in-law Patrick and Kathleen Dolan. Dear brother of Marjorie Thompson, Morgan Strassburger (Grace), Albert Strassburger (Nancy), Audrey Arnold, Barb Main (Dave), Eleanor Herkert (Dieter), Ruby Kurt (Larry Schmuck), Clifford Strassburger (Kathy), Karon Strassburger (Loraine Burley), Robert Strassburger (Jan), and Deborah Sperling (Tom) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was predeceased by his brother-in-laws Doug Kurt and Wayne Thompson.

Dennis and his brothers Morgan Jr., Albert, Clifford and Robert worked side by side with their father Morgan Sr. in the operation of Strassburger Insulation. For the last several years Dennis and Bob have been co-owners of Strassburger Windows and Doors. Dennis was very proud of his accomplishments with the business, his family and his community involvement.

There was nothing more important to Dennis than his family and their happiness. He was always able to bring a smile to anyone’s face with his wonderful sense of humour and positive outlook on life.

The family of Dennis Strassburger received relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home. Parish prayers were held this past Sunday evening, with the funeral service taking place on Monday morning. A procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Dr., Kitchener took place for the Funeral Mass.

A reception was held in the Parish Life Centre immediately following the Funeral Mass.
