US Aluminum expands Defender Series

The BW8000 is a high performance window system engineered to work intrinsically with the Defender Series blast mitigation storefront and curtain wall systems with corresponding sight lines and glazing specifications.

Sept. 15, 2010 – The Defender Series of blast mitigation products is expanding with the addition of the BW8000 Single Hung Window. The BW8000 is a high performance window system engineered to work intrinsically with the Defender Series blast mitigation storefront and curtain wall systems with corresponding sight lines and glazing specifications.
 
The high performance 8000 single hung window is an AAMA CW60 rated and NFRC certified window, designed for heavy commercial and institutional projects. The 4 ½" deep frame is designed to match typical building conditions including our entrances and storefront. An efficient pour and debridge thermally insulated frame accepts glazing infills from 1" to 1 5/16", with convenient extruded pulls at the interlock and bottom rail. The window features a self locking latch and Class 5 balances for ease of operation. The screw spline frame and sash are engineered to provide years of superior performance. The factory assembled and glazed window is designed for quick, efficient installation using either an anchor flange or block type installation
The 8000 single hung window is available in an array of architectural coatings and anodized finishes. Accessories like mulling bars, sub-sills, and head and jamb channels are available to expand the systems capabilities.
