June 11, 2009 – C.R. Laurence Co. Inc., (CRL), is now producing Adjustable Vienna and Cologne Hinges for the frameless shower door market in Wall Mount and 180 Degree Glass-to-Glass Models.

“Our Vienna and Cologne Hinges have been the answer for heavier doors that traditional hinges are not strong enough to support.  Our customers also wanted these available in Adjustable Wall Mount and 180 Degree Glass-to-Glass models, and we are happy to report they are now available,” says Brad Murphy, CRL product manager.

Adjustments to accommodate the desired angle (up to 90 degrees) is done after the door is hung.  The Allen set screws are loosened and the door turned to the desired closed position.  By merely tightening the Allen screws, the door will self-centre to the desired angle.

CRL’s Vienna Hinges are designed with square corners, whereas the Cologne Hinge has radius corners and beveled edges.  These new models round out the company’s Vienna and Cologne Hinge lines which include: Wall Mount with full, short, and offset back plates, 180, 135 and 90 degree Glass-to-Glass Models and five degree Pre-set Models. They are made for 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch (10 to 12 mm) tempered safety glass, and come in up to 24 different finishes.  Custom finishes are also available.

CRL supports its extensive product line with a Technical Sales Department where technical sales representatives can help create an attractive and safe frameless shower enclosure, and lend assistance with product selections and design criteria.
