Oct. 1, 2009 – GlasWeld recently announced that its Scratch Removal Consulting and Contracting team is currently working on a major window restoration project on the new Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver, B.C. In addition, the company has recently expanded the involvement of GlasWeld vice president, Shiloh Spoo, into the consulting team.

“Our team responded to the project manager’s call for our experts to come on location and inspect welding slag damage and scratches on several windows,” said Spoo, who has been working in the glass scratch removal field for almost a decade. “After evaluating the job, they hired our contracting team to remove the damage using our proprietary Gforce systems.”

Spoo, who was instrumental in the research and development of GlasWeld’s Gforce Scratch Removal System, plays an integral role with the company’s consulting team by
providing his expert analysis and technical abilities.

During his tenure, he has focused on creating complete solutions for large companies dealing with glass issues, whether on the manufacturing floor or on the construction
job site. His experience adds to the depth of the company’s consulting and contracting team — directly benefiting clients from targeted evaluation of damage to the
creation of cost-effective repair solutions.

So far, GlasWeld has removed damage from approximately 100 pieces of glass at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It is estimated that the glass restoration project has saved more than $350,000 in window replacement costs.
