May 8, 2010 – C.R. Laurence (CRL) has announced that the company has entered into an agreement to purchase the Jackson Corporation, a manufacturer of door hardware for the aluminum and tempered glass door industry for over 50 years.
May 8, 2010 – C.R. Laurence (CRL) has announced that the company has entered into an agreement to purchase the Jackson Corporation, a manufacturer of door hardware for the aluminum and tempered glass door industry for over 50 years.
“We are very pleased to announce this agreement,” says Lloyd Talbert, President of C. R. Laurence. “Jackson Corporation leads the industry as a manufacturer of the high quality door hardware. According to Jackson’s history, as posted on the company’s web site, Jackson became the first U.S. hardware manufacturer to be certified to ISO 9001 quality standards in 1995. In this transaction, CRL will acquire all of the operating assets and intellectual property of Jackson. The manufacturing operations will be housed in our new 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Vernon, California, while Jackson products will be distributed worldwide through the current network, as well as CRL’s own worldwide network."

Robert Rivera, Jackson’s President, has been very instrumental in assisting with the acquisition, and will continue as a resource in the future development of the Jackson brand.
