Riding the momentum of its smashing debut last year, Glass Canada is once again bringing Top Glass to the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., on April 15.
Nov. 17, 2014 - NanaWall held a lunch-and-learn at its Mississauga, Ont., showroom on Nov. 6, introducing about 25 attendees to its line of sliding and folding window wall systems for residential and commercial applications. Lunch was served while Ontario sales representative, Georges Lagasse, presented a detailed overview of the company's products followed by a chance to try them out in NanaWall's showroom in the International Centre's SOFA area.
Oct. 20, 2014, Dusseldorf, Ger. - Glasstec 2014 will feature the Glass Technology Live show opening up an extensive look ahead into the future of glass. Under the motto “Intelligent Glass,” the show will provide a comprehensive overview of the current developments and trends in glass products and applications and also showcase new development potential.
In 2014, Windoor is celebrating its 20th anniversary. So much has changed over these years.
Well attended. Fun. Educational. GlassBuild America 2014, held Sept. 15 in Las Vegas, was everything you look for in a trade event.
It had a certain synergy to it. After 20 years, the Glass Association of North America finally held a conference in Canada, specifically at the DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown in Toronto starting Sept. 23.
Sept 26, 2014 - The Glass Association of North America continued its fall conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels Downtown in Toronto on Sept. 24 and 25. About 100 delegates from over 50 member companies attended. The conference marks GANA's 20th anniversary in its present form and the first time the association has held a full conference in Canada.
Sept. 24, 2014 - The Glass Association of North America started its fall conference yesterday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown in Toronto. Over 50 member companies sent delegates to participate in technical discussions and network with colleagues and suppliers. The conference runs until Sept. 28.
The Canadian Glass Association needed this. Following a terrible start to 2014 that saw the departure of member associations Fenestration B.C. and Quebec’s AVFQ - as well as long-time executive director, Zana Gordon -  Canada’s national glass association was left with many questions about its relevance and future direction.
The Fenestration Canada Annual Meeting and Conference held in June at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg saw just under 200 participants register for meetings, social activities and various program events. It was one of the most successful offerings ever.
As a start, it was excellent. Glass Canada magazine together with its association partners and sponsors entertained 150 glazing contractors, glass fabricators and architects on May 28 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
July 23, 2014 - Applewood Glass and Mirror of Mississauga, Ont., hosted a classy event to celebrate its 35th year in business on July 17. About 200 guests representing a who's who of the local glazing trade mingled in the sparkling clean and spacious left side of Applewood's 42,000-square-foot plant, taking in an eye-catching violinist on a lift platform, a similarly elevated DJ and slideshows of Applewood's many outstanding projects. Food and drink flowed freely, served by caterers organized by Jennifer Menecola, daughter of company president, Tony Menecola.
June 30, 2014 - GlassCon Global has unveiled its 2014 conference program on its website,www.glassconglobal.com. The program features more than 90 presentations and will provide 15 AIA CES credits to AIA members.
On a sunny April 25, Garibaldi Glass hosted the fourth annual Glass Day at its state-of-the-art fabrication plant in Burnaby, B.C.
