Sept. 24, 2014 - The Glass Association of North America started its fall conference yesterday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown in Toronto. Over 50 member companies sent delegates to participate in technical discussions and network with colleagues and suppliers. The conference runs until Sept. 28.
The Canadian Glass Association needed this. Following a terrible start to 2014 that saw the departure of member associations Fenestration B.C. and Quebec’s AVFQ - as well as long-time executive director, Zana Gordon -  Canada’s national glass association was left with many questions about its relevance and future direction.
The Fenestration Canada Annual Meeting and Conference held in June at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg saw just under 200 participants register for meetings, social activities and various program events. It was one of the most successful offerings ever.
As a start, it was excellent. Glass Canada magazine together with its association partners and sponsors entertained 150 glazing contractors, glass fabricators and architects on May 28 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
July 23, 2014 - Applewood Glass and Mirror of Mississauga, Ont., hosted a classy event to celebrate its 35th year in business on July 17. About 200 guests representing a who's who of the local glazing trade mingled in the sparkling clean and spacious left side of Applewood's 42,000-square-foot plant, taking in an eye-catching violinist on a lift platform, a similarly elevated DJ and slideshows of Applewood's many outstanding projects. Food and drink flowed freely, served by caterers organized by Jennifer Menecola, daughter of company president, Tony Menecola.
June 30, 2014 - GlassCon Global has unveiled its 2014 conference program on its website,www.glassconglobal.com. The program features more than 90 presentations and will provide 15 AIA CES credits to AIA members.
On a sunny April 25, Garibaldi Glass hosted the fourth annual Glass Day at its state-of-the-art fabrication plant in Burnaby, B.C.

May 29, 2014 - The first-ever edition of Top Glass is in the books and praise is coming in from all quarters. Canada's show for the architectural glazing industry saw a steady stream of traffic all day, May 28, at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly favourable as they took in four educational seminars and 30 exhibits from top suppliers.
May 23, 2014 - With Top Glass less than a week away, excitement over Canada's first ICI glazing show in over 20 years is peaking. Attendee pre-registrations stand at 360, bringing to 450 the number of glass construction professionals expected at the event. Registrations from Quebec, Alberta and Nova Scotia attest to the national character of the conference, as well as registrations from four American states. Top Glass takes place May 28 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

Top Glass is Canada's new event for the commercial glazing industry, taking place May 28 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont. April 16, 2014 - The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance has joined Top Glass as an association partner. Top Glass, taking place May 28 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., is Canada's new event for the commercial glazing trade. The IGMA will be listed as an association partner on all Top Glass materials and will staff a booth at the show where attendees can learn more about it.

April 8, 2014 - Top Glass , Canada's new event for the commercial glazing industry, has announced its keynote speaker: Katherine Jacobs, director of research and development for the Ontario Construction Secretariat. Jacobs will present her talk, "Rising barometer: a look at intentions and conditions in Ontario's ICI construction industry" at 10 a.m. on May 29 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
March 10, 2014 - With still nearly three months to go before the event date, Top Glass, Canada's trade event for the ICI glazing industry, has sold out its initial allotment of booth space and surpassed organizers' goals for attendance registration. Canada's glaziers, glazing contractors, building envelope fabricators, building engineers and architects will be descending on the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., May 28, for a day of education, networking, product browsing and fun.
