Canadian Glass Association
Just in time for Halloween, the Canadian Glass Association has some changes brewing that we are excited to share.
Sept. 22, 2014 - Early clouds gave way to a beautiful day for golf at the Ontario Glass and Metal Association's fall golf tournament Sept. 18, but the big story was a huge outpouring of support for Wounded Warriors , a charity dedicated to helping Canadian Forces veterans. The OGMA collected $5,500 that will go toward helping veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and those who have had other difficulties re-integrating into society after leaving service. The tournament took place at Richmond Hill Golf Club in Richmond Hill, Ont.
Aug. 22, 2014 - The American Architectural Manufacturers Association has announced new staff appointments, which include Jason Seals as certification manager and Rich Rinka as technical/industry affairs manager.
Aug. 19, 2014 - The Ontario Glass and Metal Association has selected Wounded Warriors of Canada to be the beneficiary of a charitable donation to be presented at its fall golf tournament at Richmond Hill Golf Club on Sept. 18. For every person attending the tournament wearing a piece of camouflage of any kind, the OGMA will donate $10 to this deserving charity. TAGG Industries and Valley Metal Finishing have already pledged to match OGMA's contribution. Other OGMA member companies are encouraged to do the same. Please contact Andrew Dolphin at 1-647-628-2991 to pledge your support.
Architects and designers are requesting more and more the use of insulating glass units to have unsupported edges.
The Canadian Glass Association has recently selected Centric Management and Consulting to serve as our new association management company
July 14, 2014 - The Canadian Glass Association has recently selected Centric Management and Consulting to serve as their new association management company. The Canadian Glass Association provides support to glass and related industries at the national level in matters of building codes, standards and legislation. "The Canadian Glass Association is excited to work with Centric, as they also currently manage the Glass Association of North America. This creates the opportunity for synergy within the glazing industry, giving added value for membership," shares Jim Brady, president of the CGA. "This partnership will closely align the two associations which should negate the possibility of duplication of efforts, while giving the glazing industry as a whole, a stronger voice. It is our belief that this is an extremely positive partnership."
