May 7, 2013 – The American Architectural Manufacturers Association and the Window and Door Manufacturers Association have jointly released the AAMA/WDMA 2012/2013 U.S. Industry Statistical Review and Forecast. This report delivers timely information on window, door and skylight market trends and product relationships. Historic data for 2006 through 2012 and forecast data for 2013 through 2015 also are included in the report. Forecasts are based on projections of construction activity as of March 2013.
Apr. 24, 2013 -- The American Architectural Manufacturers Association has announced the launch of its Facebook page for the AAMA Scholarship Program and Partner Program. The Facebook page will be a resource for AAMA members and prospective applicants to receive exclusive information regarding both programs.
April 8, 2013 - The American Architectural Manufacturers Association, as a co-founder of the Window Safety Task Force, encourages everyone to recognize the importance of practicing window safety by designating one week each spring to promoting safety and education. National Window Safety Week, April 7 to 13, is used as a time to remind all households that open windows can be dangerous for young children who are not properly supervised. This is especially important with the arrival of warm weather when windows are opened to provide ventilation.
Mar. 20, 2013 – The American Architectural Manufacturers Association recently released an updated standard for the installation of residential replacement windows without the removal of existing frames. AAMA 2410-13, Standard Practice for Installation of Windows with an Exterior Flush Fin Over an Existing Window Frame practice covers the installation of retrofit windows in detached one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses not more than three stories above-grade in height.
Mar. 14, 2013 – At AAMA’s 76th Annual Conference in Tucson, Az., the American Architectural Manufacturers Association announced the intent to update an interim procedural guide that will provide a documented, optional process to extend current, unexpired AAMA product certification to any edition of AAMA/WDMA (/CSA) 101/I.S.2 (/A440), North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and skylights (NAFS) for a period of two years for products that have had no changes. The procedural guide, AAMA 106-13, Interim Procedural Guide for Extension of NAFS Certification is anticipated for release prior to the AAMA Summer Conference in June.
Feb. 8, 2013–The American Architectural Manufacturers Association will host its 76th Annual Conference for fenestration industry leaders and decision makers, Feb. 24 to 27, at the Loews Ventana Canyon located in Tucson, Ariz. The event will feature keynote speaker, Robert Tucker, author of Innovation is Everybody's Business, who will discuss tools and strategies that can help managers and their employees hone their ability to identify opportunities for success, take initiative and develop unconventional solutions.

Jan. 3, 2013 -- AAMA 513-12, "Standard Laboratory Test Method for Determination of Forces and Motions Required to Activate Operable Parts of CW and AW Class Operable Windows, Sliding Glass Doors and Terrace Doors in Accessible Spaces" was recently released by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association.
Dec. 6, 2012 -- AAMA 520-12, "Voluntary Specification for Rating the Severe Wind-Driven Rain Resistance of Windows, Doors and Unit Skylights" has been released by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association. The specification provides an optional rating of the ability of fenestration products to resist severe wind-driven rain.
Oct. 12, 2012 – Keynote speaker Thom Singer will discuss networking strategies and the importance of forming long-term business relationships during the American Architectural Manufacturers Association Fall Conference, to be held in Albuquerque, N.M., Oct. 14 to 17.
Sept. 14, 2012 — The American Architectural Manufacturers Association and the U.S. Window and Door Manufacturers Association have jointly released an August 2012 update to the "2011/2012 U.S. Industry Statistical Review and Forecast."
August 24, 2012 - The American Architectural Manufacturers Association recently launched a new platform for FenestrationMasters. All FenestrationMasters courses will now be available from the association’s website to provide faster updates to courses and direct customer service.
Jan. 2, 2012 - The American Architectural Manufacturers Association has revised two specifications related to secondary storm products: AAMA 1002-11, "Voluntary Specification for Secondary Storm Products for Windows and Sliding Glass Doors," and AAMA 1102-11, "Voluntary Specification for Side-Hinged Secondary Storm Doors."
