OGMA Fall Golf a cool event

September 21, 2018  By Frank Fulton

The Ontario Glass and Metal Association held its fall golf tournament at the prestigious Country Club in Woodbridge, Ontario on September 20. The cooler fall weather was a welcomed feature after enduring a sweltering and humid southern Ontario summer. The turnout for this years event saw 94 golfers come out with another 12 for dinner.

The OGMA has funded a $500 bursary for the best student in the glaziers program at the Ontario Finishing Trades school for the past 6 years. Director Steve Ringler presented the fall bursary to Dylan Harnock working with Provincial Window and Glass.

The OGMA was happy to welcome the judges of the OGMA Awards for Excellence presented at the Top Glass show each year. Paul Marcoccia with the City of Vaughan and Adrian Phillips with the University of Toronto were in attendance and enjoyed a fine day and excellent dinner.

Master of ceremonies Frank Fulton acknowledged that fellow OGMA director Steve Gusterson was recently elected to a prestigious two year term as the Director for the Toronto chapter of Construction Specifications Canada.
