OGMA Awards of Excellence winners announced

The Ontario Glass and Metal Association has announced the winners of its 2017 Awards of Excellence. Noram Glass of Mississauga, Ont., has won the award for execution for its work on the Vaughan Civic Centre Resource Library. Diamond Schmitt Architects takes home the award for design for Lazaridis Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont.

The judges have expressed that this year’s competition was one of the most difficult they’ve ever had to evaluate.
 
The Vaughan Civic Centre Resource Library held its grand opening in September of last year. Here’s an aerial video tour of the building.

The awards will be presented to representatives of the winning teams at 3:00pm on April 20th, 2017 at the Top Glass Conference & Exhibits; The International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario.
