AAMA/IGMA answers more questions in joint effort to create a new unified organization

October 17, 2018  By AAMA/IGMA

Oct. 17, 2018 – Earlier this year, the Boards of Directors for the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) began formal discussions with the goal of creating a new unified organization that can better serve the North American fenestration industry. The initiative is based on the recommendation of a joint AAMA and IGMA Exploratory Team after 12 months of careful thought and collaboration.

Upon original announcement of the effort, the Boards provided a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document answering key initial questions from members of both organizations. Since that time, both organizations have held national conferences, as well as manned a joint booth at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas last month. Several questions have come from members and the new FAQ document addresses many of those new questions.

Additional questions and feedback can be directed to members of the AAMA or IGMA Boards of Directors, Margaret Webb (IGMA Executive Director) or Janice Yglesias (AAMA Executive Vice President).
