Sept. 23, 2010 – The Amesbury Group of companies has announced that a number of its divisions will premiere new products at Win-Door North America, taking place November 16 – 18 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Amesbury Group can be found at booth #1816.

Amesbury Window Hardware will introduce new constant force innovations to its Omega line, the new Hyperion egress system, and a new 10lb coil for the company’s existing Universal.

From Amesbury Sealing Solutions, Foam-Tite location, comes the C2 Continuous Seal, also being introduced at Win-Door 2010. C2 is a kerf mounted foam product specifically designed for casement window applications. Engineered to solve problems associated with hard welds and poorly mitered joints, C2 runs continuously through all four corners of a casement window, which the company says eliminates the need for mitering or welding entirely, which means no leaks and reduced closing force.

C2 products are comprised of the same time tested TPV materials that are used in the standard Foam-Tite product line. Because C2 is a spooled product, it eliminates the need for stocking numerous cut lengths and is available in various shapes, sizes and UV stable colors.

Amesbury Foam-Tite will also introduce CladFT at the Win-Door show. CladFT is a newly patented compression sliding seal. The company says that CladFT provides a lower operation force, low coefficient of friction and offers improved tear and compression set resistance as compared to other weatherseals. The cladding is currently available in black, white and tan. Additional colors and material choices are in development for 2011.

Amesbury SSI has announced the introduction of QFR fire rated door seals. According to the company, it is the first foam door seal that includes a Category G Edge Seal Intumescent. This all inclusive seal combines the performance of Q-FOAM to resist air, water and sound penetration with the fire and smoke protection provided by Category G and H rated gaskets. The company says the simplicity of this all- in-one seal eliminates the extra installation labour and unsightly aesthetics of secondary seal applications. The QFR Fire rated kerf and surface applied seals can be installed in any residential or commercial door frame design. This product will provide a complete sealing solution for entry, passage, hotel or fire wall doors. SSI has a patent pending on this new product.

Finally, Amesbury Door Hardware will introduce TRU-LOCK, a new entry door multi-point lock. This product is designed to provide increased security while allowing the home-owner flexibility in trim set hardware. The system easily incorporates into standard double bore panel systems of all types and is adaptable to work with most handle brands in the market today. Besides providing point of purchase selection of handle hardware, the system also enables the home-owner to change the trim-set in the future if their decorative tastes change. Once installed, the system functions the same as a standard latch and dead-bolt.
