2021 national construction results and forecast from BuildForce

BuildForce Canada has issued it’s national summary of Canadian construction activity. Increases in provincial public-sector capital investment led institutional building demands higher in most provinces in 2020, partly offsetting significant declines in commercial and industrial investment. Institutional building construction is expected to be a strong source of growth through to 2024, supported by hospital and education projects in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
