Industrie ThermoVer and Riou Glass form strategic alliance

June 2, 2016 – The creation of a strategic alliance between Nicolas Riou and René Thibodeau, head of ThermoVer, was officialised on Monday 4 April, and took place at a meeting held on the Quebec site between the young French director, accompanied by Pierre Riou, the President and founder of RIOU Glass, René Thibodeau President of ThermoVer and the staff of the Canadian company.

Nicolas Riou is Managing Director of RIOU Glass, a French family-owned group are leading players in the French glazing market. He is acquiring an interest in ThermoVer, a flat glass transformation business located near Montreal in the province of Quebec (Canada).

The creation of this alliance has several objectives:

  • To provide assistance in the on going development of ThermoVer, which will be investing 2 million Canadian Dollars in 2016,
  • To enhance the glass-processing expertise within the business in Quebec. This will be based on the experience, products, technology and support available within the RIOU Glass group.
  • To develop the distribution of high-performance glass products in North American markets, and to continue to pursue RIOU Glass’ international goals.

For Nicolas Riou it’s a return to his roots, for this Norman-Breton, owns a seigniory / hunting and fishing reserve in his name near Rimouski in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region which was founded in 1751.

Nicolas Riou plans to move to Quebec to assist in the development of Industrie ThermoVer.
