July 15, 2008 - OldcastleGlass has reached an agreement to sell its translucent wall and skylightbusiness to Major Industries, a supplier to the translucent daylightingindustry. Under the terms of the sale, Major Industries will assume thetranslucent wall and skylight backlog, and provide warranty support forexisting installations. The sale, expected to close by the end of July, willallow Oldcastle Glass Engineered Products to focus on custom-engineered curtainwalls,storefronts, architectural windows and skylights, which are key engineeredproducts used to close the building envelope. Oldcastle Glass will market itscurtainwall products under a new brand: Oldcastle Glass Skywall.
