Door Com to distribute Quanex's Imperial line
Written by Quanex Building Products
Nov. 15, 2011 - Quanex Building Products, a manufacturer of value-added, engineered materials and components for the building products market, has chosen Door Com Distribution as the exclusive distributor for its Imperial Products in Canada. Door Com is one of the largest door component distributors in Canada, servicing the country from coast to coast.

“Door Com was an ideal fit for us because of their exemplary reputation in the market and their dedication to supplying only high-value, high-quality door components,” said John Westfall, business development manager of window and door systems for Quanex Building Products. “With the imminent building code mandates for exterior doors in Canada, it’s a great time for us to enter this market with our Imperial Products solutions that are engineered to provide optimal water infiltration resistance and energy efficiency.”

Quanex Building Products’ Imperial line consists of high-performance thresholds, astragals, three-point locks and weather seals, including sweeps, sweep pads and corner pads, all designed to stand alone or work together  to provide simplicity, improve energy performance and reduce or eliminate air and water infiltration. The company also provides completely integrated door systems that maximize performance through a specially engineered mix of profile materials and components.

“We are always on the lookout for quality, unique products for our customers,” said John Grilli, vice president of sales and marketing for Door Com. “This is an exciting partnership because it brings together two respected companies that are dedicated to providing highly engineered components to help take exterior door fabricators into a new era of performance.”

Door Com is based in Woodbridge, Ont., and has warehouses throughout Canada. Together, Quanex and Door Com are dedicated to providing products and consultation to help customers meet and exceed the upcoming exterior door requirements outlined by the NAFS Canadian Supplement.
