May 25, 2010 – The Glazing Contractors Association of B.C. (GCABC) and the Window and Door Manufacturers Association of B.C. (WDMA) held their largest and most successful joint annual golf tournament on May 20. The setting were the two Arnold Palmer designed courses featured at Surrey, BC’s Northview Golf & Country Club.

Over 184 glazing contractors, suppliers, consultants, window and door manufacturers attended the hugely successful event where sponsors PFG Glass, Starline Windows, Antamex International, Cascade Aqua-Tech, Dow Corning, Finishing Trades Institute of BC, Flynn Canada, Gienow Windows and Doors, Guardian Industries, Transparent Glazing, Vitrum Industries and Vinyltek Windows donated two flat screen TVs, nine barbecues, as well as fully stocked beverage coolers and 184 door prizes. Platinum sponsor Cardinal IG also presented the grand prize of a set of PING G15 golf clubs to Chris Mobius of Garibaldi Glass. Cardinal also gave away two trips on their private jet to tour their float plant in Olympia, WA and IG plant in Hood River, OR.

Feedback from the membership indicated that everyone had a great time as the participants were treated with fair weather, a superb meal and fantastic service from the course staff. The GCABC wants to congratulate all the winners and thank all of the volunteers, participants, sponsors and supporters of the event.
