Limitation for Franklin’s GREENchoice adhesives
Nov. 25, 2009 – Cascade Aqua Tech wishes to bring to the attention of the glazing industry the fact that Franklin GREENchoice Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive must not be used to adhere mirrors. According to a release issued by Cascade Aqua Tech, there is a high risk that this adhesive will attack the mirror backing.

This product is also labeled in Canada by Franklin as “SOLVENT FREE CONSTUCTION ADHESIVE.” The same limitation applies.

Franklin recommends only two products to be used for glass mirror installations.  These are Titebond Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive (Product #’s  5261 and 5262) and Titebond VOC-Compliant Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive (Product #’s 5271 and 5272).
