Sept. 22, 2009 – Montag Windows & Doors, a German manufacturer of high-end residential products, has introduced its line of lift and slide pocket door products to the market. With panels available up to 110 square feet, these elegant doors allow architects to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, as the panels “telescope” into a simple wall pocket. They are ideal for projects with pools, golf course views, courtyards or beachfront homes, where unobstructed views and walk-out accessibility are desired.
Each door is custom fabricated by German craftsmen and is available in a number of pre-finished wood species from Meranti and Mahogany to Teak and Ip<1>. A minimal height water rated threshold provides a smooth transition from the living spaces to the outdoor.
Montag offers impact resistant glazing configurations using a one and one quarter inch laminated insulated unit, with a clear Low E coating creating a strong and energy efficient glazing system. These impact rated products are available in four by eight foot panels that can be configured with two, three or four panels.
